Daddy Time

Porter loves his daddy! What wonderful men I have in my life!

Porter's First Baseball Game

My work has season tickets for the local baseball team and it was our turn! Porter had so much fun making eyes and smiling at all the people around us... not too interested in the game itself.

Window Bench

We were able to sell some of our old windows when we put new ones in and here's what Ben decided to do with the ones we still had. Isn't it great? We even have enough to make a chair so we can have a little sitting area in one of our flower beds. Porter makes a very good furniture model!

6 Months Old

Our little man is 6 months and what a charmer! He is weighing in at 16#9oz and is 26 1/4 inches long - right at the 50th percentile. Porter loves to talk and to make sure everyone knows he has arrived, especially in quiet settings. Right now, he's trying very hard to get around by himself in whatever way he can - his body just isn't doing what his brain wants. He absolutely loves to be watched and will entertain you as long as you're willing to concentrate solely on him. He thinks the kitty is very funny and loves to grab its ears and hold on tight. Porter is so observant and will study everything in new surroundings. So far, no stranger fear and he's getting more relaxed with other people every day. Ben likes to refer to him as Pac-man because Porter's mouth is open almost 24/7... like he's in constant shock mode. He is such a joy and so happy to be alive. We couldn't be happier with our little family.

Future BYU-er

We've had quite the spring here in eastern Idaho. Just last week, we were still in the 50s and 60s. Here is Porter in his BYU hat (thanks Mary!) before a walk - he wasn't too happy to be out in the cold.

Ben's new shadow

A couple of weeks ago, this little guy came meowing at our back door and has taken to Ben since the beginning. We have yet to name him because we still have not decided to keep him... so he's "the cat" for now. Anyone interested?

Not a lover of green beans!

Porter may look like me, but he definitely has his father's taste in food - yucky veggies! He kept giving me this look like, "Why are you feeding this to me?"
